About Us

Owners Hal White and Chris Wallin have finally realized their dream for a farm winery as the tasting room for Blue Quartz Winery opened on July 13, 2019. Madison County’s newest winery and tasting room sits on a knoll overlooking the beautifully maintained vineyard and Old Rag Mountain. The inside is finished with rustic hickory flooring, pine walls, and a cathedral ceiling hung with antique wagon wheel chandeliers. Five French doors lead to spacious outdoor areas: large central patio, two covered pavilions, expansive lawn with picnic tables, and a German Bier Garten. Currently we have a few wines for sale along with our signature Thornton River Cider. We are home to Shotwell Run Brewing Company, which features a selection of seasonal craft beers brewed on site.

Come visit us on Friday from 3-9pm, Saturday from 12-9pm and Sunday from 12-6pm. See our event list for dates we will have food trucks and live music for you to enjoy with our spectacular views and excellent wines, beers and cider.
